Shopping At Dirt Cheap

In my own words, Dirt Cheap is a giant Target discount store. Dirt Cheap purchases items that are customer returns, out of season, salvage, retailer buybacks, closeouts, bankruptcies, overstock, and liquidations—from large retail stores, such as Target and T. J. Maxx. Dirt Cheap is able to purchase large quantities of items for cheap, hence the dirt cheap prices.

Inventory changes daily and new items are put out every day, so you never know what you’ll find. I’ve left Dirt Cheap after spending over $200 and other times walked out with nothing. I love to hunt for items from Target’s Hearth & Hand line in the home section and I’ve found some great pieces!

Note that you will have to dig, but you can find some really great things. Typically, I don’t search for clothes at Dirt Cheap because I’m over the digging once I’ve looked through the home section. You could spend hours at Dirt Cheap and still have not looked at all of their merchandise.

I featured some items I’ve purchased at Dirt Cheap on Instagram and y’all wanted to see a haul/vlog style video. There are locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. I was excited to move to Birmingham and be close to a Dirt Cheap!

I will say that Dirt Cheap is never located in the affluent parts of town because it is a discount store. I’ve seen an item at Dirt Cheap and then seen it in-store the next day at Target, it really just depends!

Happy shopping! Have you been to a Dirt Cheap or similar discount store?
